About Our Owner
Dr. Tara Blair D.V.M

While growing up in Folkston, Georgia, I attended Charlton County Schools and graduated from CCHS in 2000. After graduation, I attended the University of Georgia, where I majored in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Animal Health (2000-2004). After receiving my Bachelor of Science degree, I attended the University of Georgia Veterinary College (2004-2008). Not only did I receive an excellent education, but I also enjoyed amazing experiences (including many UGA football games) and made life-long friends.
I began my career in Brunswick, Georgia, where I worked at a small-animal clinic for the past 9 years. My goal has always been to open my own veterinary clinic in my hometown. While attending school in Folkston, I shadowed a veterinarian for six years as part of a school program. Opening my own veterinary clinic in my hometown will enable me to give back to my community and perhaps mentor other hopeful veterinarians in our schools.
My home is filled with various pets, but the most famous is Tallulah (from Tallulah’s Tips), who is a Great Dane. She is funny, stubborn, and lovable. Phoebe is a recent rescue that we love. She is a pit bull mix and stubborn. Mavis is also a pitt bull mix that came to me with 3 legs. This does not slow her down one bit. Phoebe and Mavis love to run and play together. They also love to play with the daycare babies. I also have 4 cats that I have adopted over the years. Their names are Stolley, Tigger, Spit Fire, and El Gato Tic Toc Loki. They are hilarious, and all have different personalities. I have pet koi (all have names) that I love very much and a silly turtle named Speedy-T. My world is definitely a better place when there are animals around.
